Our editorial standards
Top10EV is an independent research site. These standards govern every article we publish and every vehicle record in our database.

This page is maintained by the Top10EV editorial team. It reflects our current practices and is updated as our processes evolve.
Independence
Top10EV is not a dealership and takes no commission on vehicle sales. Editorial content is written independently of any advertiser, brand or agency. Where a page contains sponsored placement, it is labelled clearly and never appears in ranked lists or reviews.
Sourcing
Every vehicle specification, price and warranty figure is drawn from a primary source — the manufacturer's website, a government notification, ARAI/MoRTH homologation data, or Bharat NCAP crash-test results. The source URL and access date are stored alongside each field.
Labelling of range and performance
We distinguish between five categories of figure: (1) manufacturer claim, (2) certified/homologated result (ARAI, MIDC, WLTP), (3) independent test result from a named publication, (4) owner-reported result, and (5) Top10EV original test. Each figure carries the label of its category on the vehicle page.
Verification cadence
Prices and variant availability are reviewed at least monthly. Specifications are reviewed when a manufacturer publishes an update. Every article and vehicle record shows its 'last verified' date so readers can judge how current the information is.
Fact-checking
Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. Ranked lists are checked against the source data for each vehicle before publication and re-verified whenever the ranking metric could have changed.
Corrections
Errors are corrected as soon as they're brought to our attention. A dated note is added to the bottom of the affected article or vehicle page describing what was corrected and why. We do not silently rewrite published work.
What we do not do
We do not fabricate road tests, mileage figures, charging sessions or ownership experiences. We do not invent authors, testimonials or awards. We do not use claims like 'India's #1', 'verified', 'tested' or 'editor's choice' without a stored source and verification date.
Commercial disclosure
Advertising and sponsorship do not influence editorial decisions. When a piece of content is commercially sponsored, it is labelled at the top of the page. Affiliate links, where used, are disclosed on the affiliate disclosure page.
