Questions to Ask Before Booking an EV
The dealer-side and manufacturer-side questions worth asking on paper before you sign a booking form.
Warranty questions
Full battery-warranty terms, degradation thresholds, transferability on resale, and voidance conditions. Ask for the actual owner's manual and warranty booklet in advance of booking.
Charging questions
Connector standard, maximum AC on-board charger rating, maximum DC peak, and manufacturer recommendations for daily state-of-charge limits. If you are installing a wall-box, ask which specific units the manufacturer certifies.
Cost and delivery questions
On-road price broken down by ex-showroom, RTO, road tax, insurance and any state incentive. Confirm delivery timeline in writing and note any pricing-validity clauses in the booking form.
